The Liquor Control Board has set the requirements for cannabis business and full implementation of the I 502 cannabis law has started in Washington. So, what are some of the things you need to do in order to comply with all the requirements for cannabis business?
All people involved with the business including employees and investors have to go through a background check process. If anyone has any type of a felony on their record, I502 license will not be issued. Also, some of the requirements for cannabis business include submitting an operational business plan with the city or county government in order to get the I502 license. The city or county may or may not allow you I 502 business to operate within their municipality, there is nothing you can do.
I 502 law does not require cities and counties to approve anyone’s I 502 license, in fact they can ban the business all together. With that in mind, we have a long road ahead of us of implementing the I 502 law.
